On 5^th December, China Center for International People-to-People Exchange (CCIPE) and University of Sanya (USY) held the online signing ceremony to jointly establish the Hainan Free Trade Port International People-to-People Exchange Research Institute. Mr. Du Kewei, Director of CCIPE, Ministry of Education, Ms. Ren Xiajuan, Deputy Director of CCIPE, Mnistry of Education, Prof. Liu Kainan, Executive President of USY, Prof. Zhu Qinfu, Vice President of USY, and heads of Scientific Research Department, International Department and School of Humanities and Communication attended the ceremony.                        

Both sides aim to build the Hainan Free Trade Port International People-to-People Exchange Research Institute, a high-level international people-to-people exchange platform, into a hub for Chinese and foreign educational resources as well as a site where the humanistic dividend of education may be generated. The research institute will further take advantage of USY's educational characteristics and the CCIPE's strengths in Chinese and foreign people-to-people exchange policies and international partnership of cooperation and communication to carry out in-depth collaboration in a number of areas, for example, undertaking people-to-people exchange programmes, strengthening the teaching force and cultivating a talent echelon, conducting international education and academic exchanges and enhancing the think tank construction, promoting internship programs and practice at home and abroad, fostering continuing force of people-to-people exchange and others.
